Has anyone seen a lower price than $519.05 on this exhaust?

Absolutely. Go to www.performancepeddler.com and enter in "jeepsrock" for the coupon code. The price should come out to $401.08 delivered. I bought mine through them for $415 - I have the Hemi 5.7 so mine was a little more. Great service. About a week delivery.

Good looks on that. Do you know if that discount applies to any other product?

Try searching for Grand Cherokee stuff though, not a whole lot. It can't find eibach lowering springs or Powerslot rotors.

TechnoJeep - Thanks for the coupon code!

The exhaust has been ordered, before I placed the order I called Magnaflow to ensure that they are in stock. They have 40 exhaust systems in stock at the warehouse now, and more on the production line.

Cost was $401.08 with FREE shipping!

No problem. That's what this board is for. Good luck on the install. It wasn't too bad, but took me a while due to the hangers. Was a pain getting the old exhaust off the hangers and getting the front and back of the new exhaust to line up properly again due to the hangers. I'm sure it probably would have been easier if I had the jeep on a lift but only had access to a set of ramps. Took me 1 hr 30 mins total.

Sure, getting a video clip shouldn't be hard with our digital camera... Just don't expect me to rev the b-jesus out of the motor, after all she only has 7100 miles on her!

Nick,

It would only allow me to attach one image per reply. I guess I'll have to play with it some more.

The WK goes back to the dealership in the morning to have the SmartBeam mirror replaced, hope it works now!

But I plan on installing the exhaust tomorrow. Should take about 1-1.5 hours based on the threads I have researched.

More pics to come :)

Nice. That install should be a piece of cake. What gave me a headache was the resonator at the end. The hangers for that were a pain and didn't line up like the old one. Looks like you don't have a resonator and skip the hangers where that would have been. Good luck, I think you will be happy with it.

Installed the Magnaflow today. Took about 2.5 hours being careful taking my time. I cut off the factory tailpipe with a hack saw, that sucked!

BTW: The hanger behind the muffler does not line up and the rubber hanger is stretched about an 1". It appears Magnaflow need to move the hanger!

It has a nice mellow tone, seems to have a lot of cabin resonance when if upshifts/downshifts. On the highway it is not really noticeable.

Here are some pics for my boyz...

Pretty sick! When can we hear it?

WJ_Jeep

Okay here are the sound files you all wanted. It was recorded using an Olympus digital voice recorder at a distance of about 5-6 feet from the tip.

The digital voice recorder definitely takes away the richness and the rumble of the true exhaust sound, sorry if this disappoints you!

Here is me starting the engine and letting the truck idle:

Here is me revving the engine and reaching the rev limiter:

not bad, love the idle sound, not a huge fan of the popping on the slowing down, but hey if you like it, cant complain. good job.

WJ_Jeep

The popping sound doesn't happen when driving. That was me maxing the rev limiter on the Jeep.

So apparently "jeepsrock", doesnt work for bola exhaust, only magnaflow.... why is that? its on www.performancepeddler.com....

blackattack182
05-31-2006, 12:39 PM
It works even for K&N intakes, so I assume it will work on everything. Borla may be one of those special brands that is excluded from all discounts because of its popularity or whatever. Sort of like when a shoe store has sales, but excludes the Jordans or similar.

TheBackRoads
05-31-2006, 03:39 PM
DARN, cuz I want borla, lol.

I think the exhaust would look better if there were cutouts in the bumper for it. Anyone agree?

scaryanias
06-17-2006, 05:13 PM
YEA!! actually it would.. when i get my exhaust i might get someone to do that for me..

TheBackRoads
07-04-2006, 01:51 PM
and by cutout, wouldent you need a different bumper? or am i missing the whole point?

blackattack182
07-04-2006, 06:39 PM
By cutout, he would just cut out a section of the bumper, maybe put some of that rubber molding in around the edge, and bend the pipe so it fits in that space.

TheBackRoads

oh like replicate the current right side? cuz tha'd be sick.

I got mine from MagnaflowPlanet for a lot less than that plus it came with a full warranty you may want to check them out too. Their prices fluctuate but customer service is great.
