well recently im not sure why but my truck has been chugging along when im slowing down from like 5-0mpg also easing off of the brake while stopped it chugs and then levels out.
just did my 30,000 miles service which i though would fix it.
is it possible the k&n cai is causing this ?
also there is no check engine light , at least not yet

It isn't the airfilter unless it is really filthy and Im sure you would notice that. I have had this similar problem on another jeep when there was something wrong with the electrical. Make sure your battery is cleaned and free of corrision 1st off. (you may wanna get a diagnostic run on your battery and alternator autozone does it for free.)Second check your grounds too. Check all your cables and fuse including sparkplug wires making sure they are snug on plugs and distributor cap. You may wanna crack open the distributor cap inself and check to see if clean. Also if you changed the rotor before make sure the metals match the cap and rotor. I have heard of problems with this. After you do all the checks you may wanna start replacing these items.

Another thing if the spark plugs have been replaced make sure they are correctly gapped. Some just buy the bosch plantium spitfires or whatnot you don't have to gap and they save you gas.
