i heard that if u add two mufflers to your exhaust system it will become louder is this true what would it do performance wise will the exhaust flow be restricted or will it flow better.

Well adding 2 mufflers vs. one is going to be roughly twice the restriction.. cutting down on noise, and flow. so it will be both quieter and more restrictive.. All you need is a single muffler to get the sound you want, and required back pressure you need.

Well, I don't know if it's exactly that easy. First, how are you setting up two mufflers? Are you doing a y-pipe from the cat, splitting it to two mufflers, and having a dual exhaust? Or were you talking about putting two mufflers back to back, right in line?
If you had a dual exhaust, exhaust gases would escape faster with two mufflers, because that's double the amount of pipe for the same amount of exhaust gas to fill, leaving more space and less backpressure, so sound and flow should increase. The only problem is how far is too far, and you can go too far.

i trying to find a decent muffler shop i my area to do a dual exhaust setup on my wj no luck yet. i was reading in chargerforums that a guy put four cherrybomb glasspacks and he said his vehicle was louder i dont know i thought it was strange .
blackattack182 what do you mean by going to far.

mmmm, yea i was gonna put a glasspack on my jeep, still might depending on how long im predicted to keep it (more like allowed) but yea haha.
you can do 2 mufflers if you split the exhaust pipe, and then have a seperate muffler, one for each side, but putting 2 in a row... never heard of that, wouldent reccomend it. Now with glasspacks, you have to remember that they do eventually go bad, and putting one on your WK probably wouldent be the best bet, IMHO. Id get a nice borla muffler if i were you.

Well if you mess with it a whole lot and virtually delete the backpressure, it could sound horrible. A little bit of backpressure is ideal. Otherwise is starts droning and just sounds like ass.
What engine do you have again? If V6, single Magnaflow muffler, dual out if you really want the dual exhaust. If you want a V8, you can do the same, unless you want to get creative with the true dual exhaust.

i have a v8 i was thinking of going with the dual exhaust with dual flowmaster 50 delta flows

oh ok, I thought you were planning on running two mufflers inline. Goodluck getting a true dual exhaust for any Grand cherokees.. most shops dont bother due to the panhard bar.

you would be better off having one pipe going from the engine to the cat, then putting on the dual outlet flowmaster. It would be cheaper and would do the same for your truck. But if you want loud then go with the flowmaster 40s, thats what I have in my truck and it sounds like a beast, just click on the link to hear mine

ha yeah...and its the cheapest one on the internet, and i saved a bunch of money by putting it all on myself...took some time...but i got it done, and it works flawlessly...
its a little tough getting a place to put it in for you, just because they complain about emissions...cuz its before the cat and such..

awesome guy to work with and stuff, he has them on his monte carlo, but instead of it being a cutout, he has literally 2 different exhuast systems...kinda weird...but also pretty cool....
videos almost done processing..
